Istanbul Urban Adventures
Day tours, with a local
Constantinople, Stamboul, Istanbul -- a city that straddles both east and west... a city so fascinating that many travellers find it hard to leave. Istanbul Urban Adventures invite you to discover those exotic and complex things through the Istanbul city tours that have intrigued travellers throughout the ages. Modern travellers find themselves intoxicated with the fabulous food, incredible skylines dotted with minarets of striking mosques, the breathtaking sight of sunset over Europe from the Bosphorus, all of which you can find in these Istanbul tours.
It’s the kind of place that people always want to return to. Visions of the majestic Sultanahmet sites such as the beautiful Blue mosque, grand Topkpai place and Aya Sofya have embodied the ultimate fusion between east and west and have created a city of world desire. But above all else, it is the generosity and hospitality of the Turkish people that is most memorable.
Join us as we explore mosques hidden away and discuss what it’s like to be a modern Islamic Turk and then haggle for fresh pistachios in the fresh food markets. Join today’s Turks in their modern stomping ground and get the lowdown on what and when, while also being stunned by ancient architecture and fascinating cultural customs such as having your fortune told. Or immerse yourself in a very authentic family meal with locals in their home and discuss the news of the day and what the family members were up to that day.
These are just some of the many things to see and do in Istanbul and we at Istanbul Urban Adventures are your first ticket! While your here you might also want to check out our other Urban Adventure partners in the region like Cappadocia, Athens, or Florence.

31 May 2013 Semih was an awesome guide and he went out of his way to really give us an in depth experience. He tweaked the tour along the way to make it easier for us as there were only 2 of us on the tour. He is a great tour leader.

31 May 2013 I loved the hidden tips along the way and we really felt like we learning some very special things about Istanbul. Semih is an excellent tour leader and he really brought the destination to life. I would recommend starting the tour at a main point rather than the Intrepid office as the taxi driver had a difficult time locating it. It would be better to meet at the hippodrome for instance in front of the serpentine statue. But overall, excellent all around.
