07 Dec 2011 The trip was canceled however the guide waited for me to show up at the appointed time and gave me a refund in full. Very satisfied with that. A little disappointed that the tour was canceled due to sickness in the host family.

22 Sep 2011 One guide, 3 guests! A wonderful walking tour, excellent to get an insight before you take off by yourself, showing also things you wouldn't find (like the little blue mosque). Our guide could answer any question, giving extra hints on where to eat, take the boat, etc. English pronounciation could have been a bit better, but the rest made up for it. Very enjoyable!

15 Aug 2011 The guide (Chalar) was extremely helpful and was willing to help and advise on all aspects of my trip, not just the tour. If I had more time in Istanbul I would have taken up one of the other tours.

14 Jul 2011 We had 4 days in Istanbul, found the first night daunting in the Old Town. But had booked the Istanbul old and new tour for the next day. First urban adventure was finding the office, hidden behind the carpet sellers Sunday display. Over the magic carpets we met Cagilar who brought us on the best city tour we have ever done. Relaxed, well-paced, Cagilar is clearly proud of his country and supremely well informed and seemed happy to talk about cultural and political topics, and to answer practical queries as well as give the historical info. It felt like strolling around the town with a friend. The tour was a great introduction to Istanbul, it helped us to feel in the groove of the city and set us up to really make the most of the rest of our short visit. Don't do this tour if you enjoy just looking at lovely buildings and hearing history. Do it if you love exploring the city and trying to get a feel for the life of the people who live there.
